LISA CORY
TITLE DEPT. HEAD
Lisa joined Linear Title & Closing in January 2007 and is currently our Title Department Manager, overseeing our File Entry, Abstract, Title and Curative Teams.
Lisa has been working in the Real Estate Industry for the last 13 years. In 1994 she started working for a major bank in Rhode Island, in which her main responsibility was to research, prepare and release liens (discharges) on titles in 48 states. For the last 10 years she has been working in the real estate title industry. She started as a post closer, reviewing closing packages for accuracy. Over the years as she became more experienced and was able to adapt and grow with her position, she was promoted to Post Closing Manager, and later became a Title Officer, where she acquired extensive knowledge in reviewing titles, preparing commitments, clearing issues and preparing policies for properties in all 50 states for the largest title company in New England.
She has a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Southeastern Massachusetts University NKA U-Mass Dartmouth. She also holds a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Stonehill College, an Associates and Bachelors Degree in Paralegal Studies from Johnson & Wales in which she graduated Suma Cum Laude.
